Audience Research: Feedback On Pitch

Image
For my audience research, I asked 5 questions based off of my pitch and moodboard combined - this then helped me consolidate my original ideas for my documentary and make any necessary improvements.  (overall analysis of this feedback is at the bottom)  Question 1: Do you think this fits the brief?    Question 2: Do you think it is a good topic? Would it appeal to the target demographic?  Question 3: Is there clear and effective audience engagement?  Question 4: Is there clear use of digital convergence?  Question 5:  Any extra helpful/constructive comments or tips? Is there anything I missed ? What I learnt from this feedback:  I need to focus more on the socially conscious aspect of the documentary, so I will focus on the lesser known areas of the makeup industry that no one talks about - include 'hidden secrets of the makeup industry' - such as the harmful chemicals that can be included in some popular products and how using different products may impro

Planning - Reflection on moderator's report

For the online website, look at 'real world' examples of BBC Three web pages, and make it clear that you have looked at these by applying conventions similar to what they have onto your own work.   6. Keep in mind that the webs

analysis and justification of my creative choices in my mock-up NEA + improvements

ANALYSIS AND JUSTIFICATION OF MY CREATIVE CHOICES In the Mock-Up NEA task we were assigned during the week, I chose to create a newspaper cover in the style of ‘The Guardian’. I looked through all my research I had already accumulated of ‘The Guardian’ and looked at many Guardian covers online via Paperboy’s website – this then allowed me form initial ideas of what I wanted to create.  I began with the masthead, identical to ‘The Guardian’s’ widely recognised font style, and block blue background with the date and price for readers to view. I included an article about Royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle alongside an image of the pair, to entice readers by catching the eyes of royal fans. I also included entertainment news about Ricky Gervais’ ‘iconic’ Golden Globes speech – regarding current political issues so it was relevant to the main article.  A theory which had major influence on the events I chose to include were Galtung and Ruge’s News Values, reflected through t
